Queensland Domestic & Family Violence CRASF Modules

The Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research (QCDFVR) at Central Queensland University approached Concentric Learning with the need to build 13 online modules. The modules needed to:

• to be hosted on a new WordPress site via LearnDash; 
• convey critical information and training about the revised Queensland domestic and family violence (DFV) Common Risk Assessment and Safety Framework; and
• deliver the content in a way that was sincere and  respectful, yet engaging and interactive and enabled learners to absorb the complexities of the framework and apply them in their work or community setting.

Learners would include government and non-government community services agencies, as well as community members, businesses, and others who may come into contact with people experiencing domestic and family violence.

The first stage of the project was to develop the user journey and learning interface for the LearnDash LMS. Concentric worked closely with the QCDFVR team to develop the user experience and build a WordPress subsite for their learning portal that would grow with the Centre’s course needs over time.

On completion of the initial site, we worked with the team to develop the modules. Through workshops with the QCDFVR team, we have provided strategic learning design consultancy on the scripts for each module, identifying areas for interactivity, additional support materials and animations. Each module has then been developed and built in their new WordPress/Learndash LMS.
